Looking for a calm and creative space to relax each week? The Watercolourists Group at Coniston Community Centre in Patchway welcomes adults every Tuesday 2-4pm for friendly, tutor-led painting sessions with professional artist Roma Widger.
You do not need any experience or artistic skill to join. The group is open to everyone, whether you are trying something new, returning to painting after many years, looking for support with your wellbeing, or simply wanting to meet new people in a welcoming environment.
The sessions are relaxed, supportive and pressure-free. Members are encouraged to work at their own pace while enjoying conversation, creativity and refreshments are included.
The group is led by experienced artist and tutor Roma Widger, who has taught drawing and painting for more than 20 years. Roma is known for her friendly and encouraging approach, helping people feel comfortable and confident while learning new skills.
Each week, members explore different watercolour techniques and subjects including landscapes, nature, buildings and still life. The focus is on enjoying the process, building confidence and taking time for yourself.
For many people, the group offers much more than painting. It is a chance to improve wellbeing, reduce isolation and enjoy being part of a friendly community.
Coniston Community Centre is a welcoming community hub in Patchway offering activities, support and social groups for local people of all ages.
