Coniston Community Centre

Patchway Community in Bristol

History of Coniston Community Association

A registered charity (No.1036917), the association has been operating since 1993 to help arrange activities for all sections of the community in Coniston.

Opening of the Community Centre

The Centre is funded by the Big Lottery and Patchway Town Council and is run by Coniston Community Association. The centre officially opened in July 2004, before relaunching after the construction of the second half of the building in June 2011. Along with the relaunch of the centre, brought the opening of Brooks Cafe on the ground floor.

Over the past 10 years the centre has grown to become the home to a number of community groups and local businesses. We have been able to provide low cost office space and community rooms, which is much needed for the continuation of these groups.

In May 2014, we were delighted to welcome the Link Club in taking over the old nursery, as they were previously a tenant in one of the community rooms. We all hope the ‘Link Centre‘ will grow even further and be with us for many more years to come.
